TOM ABDOW  has performed throughout the Northeast from The Mountaintop Inn in Chittenden, VT (Killington area); The Castle Inn in Proctorsville, VT (Okemo Mt. Area), The Wildcat Inn & Tavern (in New Hampshire‘s Mount Washington Valley) to The Cape Island Festival of Folk Music and Crafts. Venues in Cape May New Jersey also included The Carroll Villa Coffeehouse and Kahn’s Ugly Mug. He is also remembered from performances in the Western Massachusetts area at the former Rusty Nail Inn, Sunderland, MA where he opened shows for Warner Brothers recording artist Jonathan Edwards (Sunshine Go Away Today, Cold Snow, Shanty), Steve Forbert (Romeo’s Theme), Aztec Two-Step and the Vassar Clemens Band. He was also a repeat featured performer at The City of Springfield MA “BIG 4th” of July Celebration, Bicentennial Park, Mayor’s Office of Cultural and Community Affairs Concert Series, Mount Holyoke College’s Chapin Auditorium, UMASS Top of the Campus, STCC (Springfield Technical Community College) and regularly at outdoor festival concert series on The Amherst, MA Town Common including “Earth Day” and the International Juggler’s Convention. Abdow’s most recent Vermont festival performance was this past September at the 5th Annual VERMONT LIFE WINE & HARVEST FESTIVAL in both the Wilmington (Memorial Hall outdoors) and West Dover (Mount Snow) VT festival locations.

TOM is slated to perform his original “Northern American Songs of Life and Love” and well known “covers” by artists like Gordon Lightfoot, Jonathan Edwards and Bob Dylan in a special acoustic concert on Saturday Evening, January 26th, 2013 at The NEST at Phoenix Wing House of Design, 449 Main Street Suite 3, Bennington, VT starting at 7:00 p.m. The “all ages” concert is also combined with an ongoing art show at The NEST.

“Plans to perform further afield nationally and hopefully internationally are now in the inception stages and I hope to have a ‘rough cut’ all acoustic ‘preview’ CD available for sale at the January 26th concert at The NEST,” Abdow said. “Some of the pieces I will be featuring on my upcoming new CD and DVD scheduled for more formal releases later this year are to be included in the all acoustic preview,” he added “and if it’s not ready by the 26th, it will be hopefully soon after depending on production schedules.” The studio version of Tom Abdow’s new music CD is scheduled to be released through more than a dozen well known internet music store websites.”
